Silkworm Genome in WGS data released

DDBJ (DNA Data Bank of Japan) released silkworm (Bombyx mori) genomic nucleotide sequence data on Apr. 13, 2004. This data was submitted as WGS (Whole Genome Shotgun) data, and is the first WGS data that DDBJ released.

This data was submitted by Silkworm Genome Research Program, National Institute of Agrobiological Siences. Accession numbers released from DDBJ are BAAB01000001-BAAB01213289 (213,289 entries 381,906,524 bp).It corresponds to 80% of silkworm genome.
