The International Human Genome Sequencing Consortium(IHGSC) published the finished human genome sequence in Nature (vol.431, pp. 931 - 945 ; Oct. 21, 2004)¡¡
In February 2001, the IHGSC had reported a draft sequence, and proclaimed the completion of essential sequencing in April, 2003. In the latest issue appeared in Nature, it covers more than 99% of the euchromatic portion of the human genome.
